RURAL DRINKING WATER PURIFICATION TECHNOLOGY

       Due to small water supply, scattered users, low level of technical management, topography and other factors in rural remote mountainous areas, it is not conducive to centralized water supply of municipal pipe network. Most of these areas use rainwater, shallow groundwater and pond lake water as drinking water sources. Generally speaking, the water sources are not polluted by industry, and their physical and chemical indexes are good, but there are problems of turbidity and microorganism exceeding the standard. Due to the lack of technology and equipment that is easy to operate, easy to maintain and reliable water quality, the water sources in these areas are not polluted by industry, Therefore, it is difficult for farmers' drinking water to reach the national standard of drinking water safety and stability.
       DDWI Rural drinking water treatment equipment adopts the technology of "multi-media filtration polytetraene (PTFE) hollow ultrafiltration membrane". The multi-media filtration can remove large particles and dead branches and leaves in the water. The hollow ultrafiltration membrane technology can safely and effectively remove pollutants such as particles, pathogenic microorganisms and macromolecular organic matters, It is one of the key technologies for drinking water treatment, which has the advantages of stable effluent quality, small impact of raw water quality fluctuation, small equipment area, and automation. The polyethylene hollow fiber ultrafiltration membrane mainly developed by DDWI, relies on the excellent performance of polytetrafluoroethylene material, with high mechanical strength, strong anti pollution performance and filtration accuracy. It has the characteristics of large flux, long service life and high material safety, which can keep the effluent turbidity less than 0.5ntu, especially suitable for the situation of high turbidity and large fluctuation of water quality in rural water source, avoiding the rapid blockage, high energy consumption and frequent cleaning of traditional hollow fiber. The effluent quality meets the standard of (GBT5749-2006).

Sizhai Village water supply station
Sizhai Village water supply station
The equipment is applied to the water supply station of Sizhai village in Dongbaihu Town. It will be completed in 2018 with a water supply scale of 250m3/d. Its advantages include:
①PLC automatic control system is adopted in the system, and the working states of filtration, flushing, backwashing and shutdown of ultrafiltration membrane integrated water purification equipment are controlled by program to realize unattended operation;
②The ultrafiltration membrane process was used to optimize the process, scientific and reasonable, and the effluent quality was stable and good. The effluent turbidity was less than 0.5ntu. At the same time, the removal rate of bacteria and colloidal impurities was higher than that of multi-media filtration;
③Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) hollow fiber ultrafiltration membrane is adopted. Compared with other ultrafiltration membranes, this ultrafiltration membrane has the characteristics of high mechanical strength, strong anti pollution performance, good cleaning and recovery performance, and high filtration accuracy. It is especially suitable for rural water sources with high turbidity and large water quality fluctuation, The traditional hollow fiber membrane can avoid fast plugging, high energy consumption of cross flow and frequent cleaning;
④With online turbidimeter, the effluent quality can be detected in real time, and the water quality data can be transmitted in real time through the remote transmission system.
